Thomas H. Winegar Jr. served as a TSgt. with the 101st Airborne Division in Europe during WWII. He was assigned to C company of the 193 AEB and Jumper into Germany during operation "Varsity Plunder". Tom received the purple heart for wounds he received in that battle. He also fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
