KILLED IN FRANCE

Robert Bruce Grew Up In This Community

Friends will be sorry to know that Robert Bruce, son of the late Cal Bruce of this community , was killed in action on Sept. 2nd in France.  Pvt. Bruce grew up in this community and attended grade school here.  He had been living in Junction City, where he was employed as a motor mechanic, before he entered the service.

Pvt. Bruce Bruce entered army service last February.  He went overseas only five or six weeks ago, serving with the field artillery.

His wife and five small children survive him, the oldest child being ten years old. They are making their home in Ogden at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Walters.

Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Anna Dixon of Junction City, a brother Marshall of California and several half-brothers and sisters.
