Sgt Flaugher was a B-24 Top-Turret GUNNER that was KIA on 18 June, 1944 in the B-24 #41-28773 Over Germany. The only Combat Crew member to die in a "Shot-down over Germany" Crew of 10 men. The other 9 were taken as POW, to Stulag Luft III.
Harold was a Crew-member and Friend of Lt Thomas Jeffers, Bombardier, in the big B-24 Heavy Bomber. Bomber Crew were a lot like family, some Mission routinely taking up to 14 hours. I know that Harold is greatly missed by his family and freinds. God Bless our brave men.
