1942

Louis was born "Louis J Hrabko" in Hungary in the Czecho-Slovak Republic in 1920.  He came to America with his family, arriving in Philadelphia and they settled in Ohio (About 1921)   His family became Naturalized Citizens in 1927.  His younger brother, William was born in Cleveland, Ohio.  Some time after the War, "Hrabko" was confusing so he changed it to the American equivilent which was HARBOR.

On 14 Feb. 1942, Louis lived in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, he was 22 years old and joined the Army at Ft. Thomas, Newport Kentucky.   Louis was assigned to the AAC and qualified for Bombardier School.    He had completed high school and 2 years of college when he joined and was still single.
