Albines W Rodman

Wait a minute...Albines W Rodman born 1917 had to be my uncle, Wilburn. My granfather Albines (his father) was born in the late 1800s.

Thank you fro providing this info. I grew up knowing what happen to him, but he died in '56, and I was born in '58. My father is also gone now, dying at age 93, and I got interested in the family history AFTER his death. Once again, thanks!

According to a certified copy of his official death record, Albines Wilburn Rodman was born in 1884 to John and Sarah (Holden) Rodman. He died on December 21, 1956, in Prestonville, Carroll County, Kentucky, after being struck by a car. Creed Littrell, his son-in-law, provided the information for the death record. Other records indicate Albines' mother name was either Whipple or Holder, not Holden.

My grandfather. I never got to meet him, as he was killed in Carroll county Ky, after being struck by a taxicab, in 1956, the same year my grandmother, his wife, Ida Rodman died in an auto accident. Now, can anyone tell me if the John Wesley Rodman who married Sarah Whipple was my grandfather's father? He lived in Kokomo, In. , and I saw where a Viola was listed on one page, and my father had an Aunt named Viola. There is also an Albinus Wilborn listed, thinking it is my grandfather, with misspelling, and a John Otto, which my father use to speak of an uncle Otto. I found this info on the familysearch.com site.

My grandfather's name was Albines Rodman, and he lived in Bartholomew county. He was not born in 1917, that would have been impossible, since my father was born in 1906. My father fought in WW2. Is this info wrong? How many Albines Rodmans could there have been in Columbus? He was married to Ida Cardin, and they had, I think, 11 children. I believe his grave is in Garland Brook Cemetary in Columbus.
