Joe was from Ohio, he enlisted at Fort Hayes in Columbus Ohio on 14 October, 1941. Joe was born in 1917 in Ohio and was working as a painter. Joe was accepted as a PVT. directly into the *Army Air Corp * … he had completed a year of high school and was still single at enlistment.

Joe flew Combat in the PTO, Most likely the PILOT on a B-25 Mitchell Combat Ship.
