Walter Edmondson

| Graysville TN

Walter was a family man. He loved his children and grandchildlren very much. He loved to get Valerie laughing when she was little. I remember he would call us to see what kind of mood our son Ritchey was in so he would know if he wanted to visit or not.

Walter died suddenly on July 3, 1978. My family was camped at Brown's Bridge and that was back when we really camped out. Walter decided he was coming over to he campsite and bringing some fire wood. We did not need anymore but he was sure we did. He tried to pick up a huge log to bring to the campsite and that's the last thing he did. He was already retired due to heart problems and I guess it was just his time.

The day before we had found out I was pregnant with our youngest son. We wanted to honor Walter by giving our son his name, so he is also Walter Edmondson and we call hm Wally. He would be very proud.
