Today (September 26, 2013) my father, Richard H. Young, Sr., passed away at 3:35 AM, he was age 99 years having lived a long, productive, Christian life. He gave my brother and I direction, purpose and values for life that have served us well. Pop, as we call him, was a WW11 veteran, having served in 35th Infantry Division attached to the 3rd Army under General. George S. Patton and was part of the reli…ef of Bastogne in the Battle of the Bulge. During the war, he married his child sweetheart & soul mate, Josephine Denson, and the war settled down to the life of farmer, carpenter & saw mill operator. His greatest contribution was the Christian values he required my brother Bob & I to live by. On this the day the Lord called him home, I salute this member of "the greatest generation" who is my inspiration for life. Richard Young, Jr.
