Rev. Richard Andrus, in his statement of application for a Revolutionary War Pension, claimed to have witnessed the execution of Maj. Andre in Tappan, NY, on 2 Oct 1780. John Andre was the famous British spy who looted from Benjamin Franklin and convinced Benedict Arnold to give up West Point.
