Photo taken in Germany about 1947. George Ranich enlisted under the name Ranick which is the surname under which he was known during his many years of employment as well as his military service. The correct surname is Ranic in Croatian the spelling was Americanized to Ranich because of the pronounciation of the c. prounounced ch.
