If you look at the age of the veteran in this document, you notice that it says "seventy" followed by a space, as though the writer intended to complete the information once it was known, and didn't. It is possible that the veteran, James Anderson, did not know his age. If there is no more detailed age further in the application, and you were researching this individual's birth or christening, you would want to expand the number of years you search from 1752-1764 to cover the entire decade, not just a couple of years either side of 1762.
