Pvt. Dewey C. Fox

Mrs. Edward F. O'Connor, 51 Oakwood, has been advised her brother, veteran paratrooper wounded in December, was injured a second time during the March crossing of the Rhine.

Private Fox, 21, a member of the 506th Parachute Infantry of the U.S. 1st Army, has served in three major engagements since D-Day invasion of France. During the Luxembourg campaign, he was captured by Nazi forces near Vesse, Belgium, and escaped when American troops counter-attacked.

He is being treated at an English hospital, where he received the Purple Heart. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse N. Fox, living [sic] in Sharon Springs, N. Y. He is the brother of Pvt. Myra Fox, WAC.
