Norm was born on November 28, 1921 in Sittingbourne, Kent in England. He came to the United States with his Mom and Dad at the age of 6. He entered the service 13 Nov. 1942, into the AAC and trained to be a Pilot. He flew B 25 Mitchells in the MTO (57th Bomb Wing, Africa, Italy, Corsica) March '09 -B
27 April, 2009 Norman H. Doe passed quietly and his family was with him.
Webster: N.Y. April 27, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vie; sons, Reid (Elaine) and Rick (Gale); daughter, Sue Mele (Gary Geldorf); grandchildren, Macey and Jason Doe, Amy (Pete) Novack; Stephanie and Stephen Doe; Rachel (Steve) Schubert, Brian (Sandy) and Brad Mele; 8 great-gandchildren.
Norm served as a B25 Pilot during WWII and as a Deputy Monroe County Sheriff for 28 years including service with the Sheriff's Patrol Boat and Helicopter Patrol.
Friends may call Thursday, 4-7 PM at the funeral chapel (1031 Ridge Rd.) where a Funeral Service will be held Friday, 10 AM. Friends are invited to bring a written memory or favorite photo of Norm for the family's Memory Book. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norm may be directed to the Geriatric Pilots Assoc., PO Box 27, East Rochester, NY 1445-0027 or Monroe County Sheriff Foundation, 99 Exchange Blvd., Rochester, NY 14614. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Hill Haven Nursing Home for the excellent care, concern and understanding the staff showed to Norm during his stay there.

Norm recieved the great blessing of having his family both near and with him when he passed. He had courageously battled bladder cancer, and lived several years longer after having had surgery. Norm's son, Ried has provided photo's and stories for his father.
