RHINEBECK - Paul A. Milroy, 85, of Rhinebeck, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. Mr. Milroy was a postman, employed by the United States Post Office in Poughkeepsie and Arlington for 30 years. He retired in 1976. Mr. Milroy and his wife resided in Poughkeepsie from 1947 to 1971. A veteran of World War II, he served with the United States Army Air Corps in Italy and Northern Africa. Mr. Milroy was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rhinebeck, where he served as an usher for many years. He was also a life member of the Fairview Fire Company in Poughkeepsie. Born in Rhinebeck on July 13,1 915, he was the son of John T. and Nora Connor Milroy. On Nov. 23, 1941 at the Good Shepherd Church in Rhinebeck, he married Elizabeth Estok. Mrs. Milroy survives at home. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister-in-law, Evelyn Estok, a brother-in-law, Edward Estok, nephews, Stephen Estok Jr. and Paul R. Estok, all of Hudson. He was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Gregory Milroy. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, at the White Funeral Home, 91 E. Market St., Rhinebeck. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rhinebeck Cemetery, Rhinebeck. Memorial donations may be made in Pauls memory to a charity of your choice.
