Theron Gray

Theron Gray, 46, of Tabasco, died Sunday evening in this city after an illness of about a year. He was a veteran of World War 2, having served with the Quartermaster Corps of the Air Service group. He served in the armed forces for 3 1/2 years in the European, African, Middle East Theatre campaigns and was awarded three bronze stars and a good conduct medal. Surviving is his wife, Anna Miller Gray; four children, Theron, Jr., Darry, Regina, and Karen Gray. Also surviving are his father, John Gray of Tabasco; six sisters, Mrs. Henry Krom of Accord, Mrs. Edna Miller of Tabasco, Mrs. Jacob Terwilliger and Mrs. Edward Van Demark of Pataukunk, Mrs. Barney Rothberg or [sic - of] Mombaccus, Mrs. Harley Williams of Accord; four brothers, Russell and Harry Gray of Accord, Andrew of Roxbury and Arthur Gray of Olive Bridge, Several aunts and uncles and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held from the H. B. Humiston Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. George R. Skaggs of the Federated Church of Kerhonkson officiating. Military honors will be accorded at the grave. Burial will be in Pine Bush Cemetery near Kerhonkson.
