World War II

Lt. Napoleon B. McClure, Jr, while in Sicily was shot in the arm and sent back to Africa for treatment. He was given penicillin, which he was allergic and he almost died. Before he was well, he went back to Sicily, was blown out a foxhole twice.  From there he was sent back to the States. He received a Purple Heart for his injuries.
