I think there are some 'problems' with this posting. I believe this is Leonard Earl Hauser, born November 11, 1923 in Hayden, Union Co., NM. He was the son of Leslie Leo Hauser and Idolene Mosier. If he had been born in 1932 (as per posting), he would have been 10-years-old in 1942 when he enlisted in the Army. I would be amzing if he were a 'widower' at that age! It sounds reasonable that he served in the Philippines, but I suspect he spoke Chinese...and was not Chinese, but of Germanic/French/Swiss descent (as is Leslie Leo Hauser).
