KIA Jack Martin

Burma

PFC Jack Martin was killed in a plane crash in Burma. His body was buried at the site of the plane crash 3 miles southwest of Manlwin, Burma (96° 49' x 23° 60').  After the war, his body was moved to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii.  Burma is also known as Myanmar today.  His birth name is Vassar Bryan Martin but he always went by and was known as Jack.
