Joseph E Wisby

Lt Wisby 27th FG / 522 FS - Lt Wisby was shot-down on 29 Jan. 1945 in his P-47 "Betty II".  He was captured and became a POW at the "  Stalag Luft 3 Sagan-Silesia Bavaria   " (Shot-Down ON his 26th Birthday!)

Lt. Joseph Edgar Wisby, stayed in the Air Force after WW II, and rose to the rank of Lt. Col.
He died 26 March 1979, and is buried in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
