The above Army enlistment records information for Robert J. Stilley has many errors. My father was a farmer when he enlisted. He was not Filipino, he had 4 years of High School, he was not born in 1851 in the Philippine Islands! The enlistment records are when he first entered the Army as a cadet in the Army Air Corps training in San Marcos, TX. He was discharged on 12 Nov 1943 and immediately commissioned as a 2nd Lt. and received a new serial number as an officer. He was trained as a navigator and bombardier on several types of planes, including the B-29. His service was all stateside. He taught navigation for a few months at Monroe, LA in August, 1945.
