William Edward Berresheim

Port Barrington IL

William Edward Berresheim, 86, died peacefully of natural causes on August 19, 2010 in his home in Port Barrington, Il.
He was born December 1, 1923 to Edward Michael and Florence Marie (nee Clusman) Berresheim.  He is survived by his loving wife, Joan (nee Weiss), devoted daughter, Aimee Dorsett, cherished grandchildren Leighton and Danielle, and dear sister, Frances Jennings.  He was the beloved uncle of 12 nieces and nephews.
He proudly served in the Army in WWII, and landed at Omaha Beach on Day 2.  He met Joan at the Hub roller-skating rink in Chicago. They were married within a year and spent the next 59 years together as husband and wife.  He lived life to the fullest; he loved flying, water skiing, scuba diving and horseback riding.   Bill had a big heart and was a great friend to many.  He will be deeply missed.   Interment will be private.
