.Donald E. Kroth was my Uncle, he was my fathers older brother. His father, Joseph Kroth was a Cincinnati police officer who died in 1938 in line of duty. His mother left the children in care of the grandparents, so Uncle Don quit school to work and provide for his three younger siblings and widowed grandmother
