July 05, 1944:  James Reynolds Missing Since D-Day

Pvt. James Reynolds son of Mrs. Effie G. Reynolds, 316 Williams Street, Griffin, has been reported missing in action in France since D-Day, June 6.  Reynolds was among the first paratroopers to be dropped over France.

 

Pvt. James Reynolds is Killed in France

Saturday, July 22, 1944:  Pvt. James Reynolds is Killed in France

Pvt. James Reynolds, son of Mrs. Effie G. Reynolds and Homer Reynolds, was killed in action in France on June 06, according to a message which his mother received from the War Department Friday night.  Pvt. Reynolds was a member of a paratroop division and was among the first paratroopers to descend on French soil. 

Pvt. Reynolds entered the service on Dec. 7, 1943.  He had been reported missing in a message received here on July 4.
