     S/Sgt. Frank M. Esposito was the assistant radio operator in the B-17F Flying Fortress (#229483) nick-named Dee Zip Zip (99th Bomb Group, 348th Squadron).  Shot down during a raid on the Sicilian airfield at Gerbini on July 5, 1943.
