Officer's Commission following enlisted service

| China-Burma-India Theatre of Operations

NAVIGATION & BRIEFING OFFICER 2158 1035 - Served with an ATC (Air Transport Command) unit assigned to (illegible) China-Burma-India Theatre of Operations.  Member of flying crew, navigator, flying multi-engined military transport planes carrying diversified cargo from India to China.  Subsequently assigned additional duty as Beiefing Officer, which involved giving instructions to other flying personnel concerning the hazards and avialable navigational aides along the prescribed routs of flight.  Attached to Ferry Command as navigator, transfering all types of military aircraft to designated bases.

He was authorized to wear a bronze star on the Asia Pacific Theater Ribbon (China Campaign).  It was noted he did 12 trips, for a total of 191 days.
