James A Ackley, Lt/Pilot. 321st Bomb Group, 447th bmb Squad B -25's MTO

Lt James H Ackley was an original in the formation of the 57th BW, 321st Bomb Group in 1942, and in the 447th Bomb Squadron.  He was part of the original Cadre, and flew across the Atlantic in the (Now-Fameous) Knapp Flight Over the Atlantic, the Southern Route with loss of a single ship.  He flew in the B 25 #41-29775 with Pilot Leonard "Shap" Shapiro.
