Lester E Dailey

| Rhode Island

My dad had 8 sons, and then me. his only daughter.

How or exactly when he met my mom is fragmented, I am the youngest with the worst memory.

I do know this, my mom had a son when she met my dad and he loved him as his own, hard thing I guess back in those days.  He fathered 7 more sons and then me, I will say this, they dont make them like him anymore, havent for years, aside from his own, the men in this world

now?  Bite the big one,  I wish he was still here  for MY sons sake as well as for me.

I would love to go back in time  and pay more attention, he didnt talk much but when he did  it was a WOW thing.  His birthday, fathers day  believe it or not   valentines day, sounds funny, but, when my mom and him had problems he would leave a giant heart full of chocolate on the front steps.

Love you dad

He did. Les was part of the first US military action against Germany in North Africa under Patton. He stayed through out the African campaign. That's where he got malaria! After that he went to Sicily and Italy under Patton as well! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Torch
