Lt Walter Reed, B-25 Bomb./Nav. 321st BG, 447th BS, MTO during WWII

321st BG, 447th BS, Lt Walter H Reed, B-25 Combat Bomb./Nav. Near end of the War (3 Combat Missions)

17 Feb. 2014;

Hello Barbi,   My name is Thomas Reed and my father, LT Walter H. Reed, was in the 321st, 447th, and arrived in Italy on April 22, 1945,  as a Bombardier/Navigator.  Since he arrived at Falconara late in the war, he flew only three combat missions.  I frequently check the 57th website, mainly to try and identify which B-25 he flew in, but have had no luck as most of the crew/plane information during that period is missing, and he passed in 1991.  I do have several old photos he had and of planes on missions, and have been able to identify two of them by the tail numbers—#13 Peggy Lou (445th), and # 40 Lemmon Lou-446th).  The pictures were probably taken from a 447th aircraft, which I assumed was his. Walter's proud son; Thomas (and Janice) Reed
