Funeral for Lucille Fobb, former Frederick resident and longtime Oklahoma City resident, will be at 10 AM Friday at Portland Avenue Pentecostal Holiness Church of Oklahoma City with Pastor Floyd Bean and Rev. Belle Harjo officiating.

Ms. Fobb was called from labor to reward Tuesday night, August 5, 2008 from her earthly home in Oklahoma City.  She was 56 years of age.

A committal service will be at 3:30 PM Friday in the Frederick Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home of Lawton.

Lucille entered this life on January 16, 1952 in Lawton, the beloved daughter of Hickman and Serena Battiest Fobb.  She grew up in Frederick and attended schools at Weaver Public Schools and Frederick Public Schools.  She made her home in Oklahoma City and worked as a laborer for the Warehouse for a number of years.  Lucille attended the Portland Avenue Pentecostal Holiness Church of Oklahoma City.  She was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and enjoyed playing pool winning many trophies both individually and as a league player.

She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved son, Lawrence Dean “Devon” Fobb of the home in Oklahoma City; two sisters: Rose Hicks of Frederick and Lillie Jessie of Haworth; two brothers: Ernest Fobb of Lawton and Hickman Fobb, Jr. of Frederick; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and hundreds of friends.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Mary Billy, Josephine Wade and Vivian Nichols and  one brother: Houston Fobb.
