My grandfather buys me a chick

My grandfather and his wife Flor, lived with us for approximately two years when we lived in Puerto Rico. I have a nice memory of my grandfather buying me a colored chick. Yup...you heard it right, a colored chick. Baby chicks were dipped in food dye and sold to the public as pets. As the chick grew, so did its feathers and the chick out grew the coloring.

Ramiro was my paternal grandfather. He was born in Cuba and married Josefa Albanes. They have five sons, Adriano, Ramiro, Sergio, Dario and Julio. All except Adriano live in Florida. Ramiro and Josefa divorced.Ramiro remarried to Flor whom he remained married until his death.
