Co-Pilot Crew 15

Completed two years college and enlisted as Flying Cadet in November, 1940 at Hemet, California. Commissioned as Second Lieutenant and rated as pilot in July, 1941. Assigned 89th Reconnaissance Squadron. Remained in China-Burma-India Theater until July, 1942. Later assigned to Twelfth Air Force in North Africa and was shot down in July, 1943. Was a Prisoner of War from July 4, 1943 until April 29, 1945. Retired on January 31, 1952. Decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster and the Chinese Army, Navy, and Air Corps Medal, Class A, 1st Grade.

Died August 14th, 1998
