Stories

Arrived in America from Delebio, Italy 1910, age 14, Ellis Island, New York

Lived in Manchester, Mendocino Co., Ca.

Inlisted 1918 at 21 yrs. old for citizenship.

Every Christmas for at least 30 years after WW1 he would receive a package in the mail. In the box would always be a brand new handmade pair of Romeo's. The man he saved was a shoe maker in San Francisco by trade. I remember the year they stopped coming and PaPa said he guessed the little shoe maker had died, no more new shoes for me.
