Charles' parents moved from PA to Sand Prairie, Tazewell County, IL in the 1880s. Charles entered the military and was on active duty at the Presidio in San Francisco at the time of his death. He married Daisy Theresa Kawelo in Hawaii 8 Dec 1934.
