Nina Elmlund

Nina Elmlund was one of the twin daughters born to Frank C Elmlund & Ida S [Anderson] Elmlund on December 28th, 1892. Her siblings were: Carl A Elmlund (1891-xxxx); Ina N Elmlund [Knapp] (Twin, 1892-1989); Alice (1895-xxxx); Maude E Elmlund (1896-1911); and Ernest R Elmlund (1897-1982). Frank C Elmlund was the 9th child (son) of Carl Gustaf Elmlund (1817-1889) & Helena Catherina Petersdotter (1816-xxxx) and brother to Fredrik Elmlund (1849-1894/95), August Elmlund (1851-1914). Frank C Elmlund (then single) emigrated from Sweden to America about 1882 and spent about a year in the Chicago, Illinois area before moving to Oregon. In 1889 Frank C Elmlund married Ida S [Anderson] and started a family. Fredrik and August emigrated fromSweden to the Oregon in 1891 (probably influenced by good reports from Frank). Fredrik & August's families followed them in 1893. Fredrik's children (Carl J, Per Emil, & Clara) moved onto Riverside, California several years after his death (abt. 1898). August's family remained in Oregon.
