He loved to travel. The best part of the travel was the planning and anticipation. He spend his birthday on the couch resting the whole day.

We went to Yellowstone after Grandma died not that long before he passed away. We received this warning about Buffalos once we were in the park. It said something to the effect of "Buffalos are brave, not scared of people, they can be very aggressive & attack without warning" Grandpa turned to me and said "This sounds like you" Then he laughed pretty hard at himself. I thought it was pretty funny so I bought him a little Buffalo Fridge magnet. He kept it on his fridge. It was our own little private joke. Up until he died he called me his little Buffalo.

Going to Chuck-a-rama the day of grandma's funeral, and him pulling out ziplock bags to bring home "somethin' to snack on".

I remember the day that he confirmed me a member of the church of Jesus christ, March 27th 1983.

I remember grandpa trying to play basket ball in the "Air louis" loafers. He also always had doughnuts (usually in the freezer) just a few seconds in the microwave and pure bliss.
