We Met in College

| Boulder, Colorado

To the best of my recollection I had never met my cousin Arthur until we were both at the University of Colorado.  Arthur was three years older than me and had served a couple years in the Army before coming to C.U.  My dad told me that he was going to school there so it wasn't hard to locate him.  He and his wife Geri were living in "Vetsville"--old converted quanset huts down behind the baseball field.  Ironically, I played baseball and their unit was within sight of the ballpark.  They had me over a couple times for a home cooked meal and to visit.  I lost track of Arthur after leaving C.U.; but later learned that he was a highway patrolman in Colorado for a while and then moved to the Seattle area.  Unfortunately, he passed away while relatively young.  I was pleased to be able to reestablish contact with Geri and their children in 2009.
