Orthello Kudelka

Orthello's early education was in Plum Brush and Kilgore.  She attended Chadron State Teacher's College and began her teaching career in 1933 with 18 students in 8 grades.  She earned $50 a month, out of which she paid $10 for room and board and another $10 to repay her loan at the Farmer's State Bank in Kilgore.  She spent 17 years teaching in different classrooms.
