Sep 1908 - Jan 1909 - Postcards from first cousin Alta Seals addressed to Sherman Eddy, Neligh, Nebraska. There were family stories about Sherman going to school in Neligh, NE and Alta Seals going to school in Long Pine, NE after graduating from Ainsworth, NE High School. Here are two of the postcards:

Postcard from first cousin Alta Seals addressed to Sherman Eddy, Crete, Nebraska. Stella is Alta's sister. Sherman is probably attending Doane College in Crete, NE.

Dear Sherman -
We were glad to hear of your "whereabouts" as we were just wondering this A.M. about you. Are you selling many books? Write us a letter when you have time. How do you like Hebron? No Crete did not celebrate. We went to the M. E. picnic and in the P.M. went-up the river on the lauch "Lily." Your friend Mrs. L. Wissenburg

Sheman also told the family he earned his room at Doane College by ringing the school bell between classes. His room was in the administration building tower near the bell.
