Schreiner,76, died Saturday night, Feb. 5, 2000, in Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, Wis., after a long illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Bethel Presbyterian Church, West Union, by the Rev. Richard Emery. Inurnment: Fort Snelling Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Survivors include two sons, Tad of Prior Lake, Minn., and Tim of New Richmond, Wis.; a daughter, Kathy Gross of West St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters, Margaret Gatzkie of Cedar Rapids and Lucille Stahr of West Union; and two brothers, Harvey of Beaverton, Ore., and Wesley of Cedar Rapids.

Lester served during WWII as an Engineer/Aerial Gunner in the B-25 Mitchell Medium Bombers of the 321st Bomb Group, 446th Bomb Squad in the MTO/  Combat Missions over Italy.
