Age 79, died on 28th January 1987 at St. Joseph's medicial center, Burbank, California. Born 14th June 1907 in Tyndall, So. Dakota to Reverend Charles Boyd Jones and Susan Brush Cook.  Surivived by his loving and caring wife Winnifred R Jones, he was beloved father of Vernon Quentin Jones of Riviera AZ, Consuelo Lucy Moore, Anchorage, Alaska and Glee Caroline Murphy of Petaluma, CA.  He was "papa" to his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Cheri Jacobus, Steven Jones, Gregory Jones, Stanley Jones, David Murphy and Kevin Murphy.  His brother Pery Layton Jones of Palo Alto.  Daughter in law Rebeca Jones, Son in law Charles E Murphy, brother in law and caring friends Earl H Bremmer and Russell C Bremmer.

Mr. Jones was very proud of his American heritage. Served as Governor, Los Angeles Colony Society of Mayflower Descendants.  Captain of California State Mayflower.  Director of Sons of Revolution Active member of Society of Colonial Wars.  A member of the John Howland and Thomas Rogers Societies and Descendants of Colonial Clergy.  He was a 47 year resident of Burbank and retired from Menasco Mfg Co. in 1973.  He was a kind, gentle caring man and was greatly loved and admired.  He will forever be remembered with deep affection by his friends and relatives.
