From a family story about my great uncle who I never met but have done research comes this information.

He went to Europe for the WWI and was killed soon after arriving and it took two years for his family to recover his body for burial in the family plot in the Brown Cemetery near Lobelville, TN.

I have visited this cemetery two times and he has the largest marker in the family cemetery. His parents are Geo. W. Ferguson and his second wife, Sarah H.P."Dee" McCollum who are also buried in the same family cemetery. His half sister was my great grandmother, Mary L.M."Maggie" Ferguson Duncan of Buffalo, TN. Mary"Maggie"s mother was first wife, Nancy Agnes Brown Ferguson also Sarah "Dee's" aunt.

Currently I am looking for his actual WWI records to find where and what branch he served with and will post more as I find it.

Found WW I Registration card and added to tree. 10.19.2017.
