A beautiful military powder horn, dated 1777, owned by my ancestral uncle. It is inscribed: "Captain Nathaniel Comstock,his horn, powder with my brother Ball, hero-like doth conquer all." Stories

The son of Nathaniel Comstock & Margaret Fox of Raymond Hill, Montville CT. He married (1) Sarah Bradford, who died 1768. He then married (2) Anna Stark in May 1778. 

Nathaniel commanded a company in Col. Storr's regiment during the Revolutionary War. He was First Selectman in Montville CT.
