Earle Franklin Jacoby (20 Oct 1920 - 19 Jul 1974)

Earle first enlisted in the Texas Defense Guard (date unknown) and received an Honorable Discharge on 1 April 1942. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army in Waco, Texas on 10 July 1942 and began basic electronics training at Madison Field, Wisconsin on 14 November 1942 and relocated to Boca Ratan Field , Florida for radio maintenance training.

On 27 March 1943, he departed the U.S. for the Southwest Pacific. Upon his arrival on 13 April 1943, he was assigned to the 370th Bombardment Squadron, 307th Bombardment Group.

He qualified for his Air Crew Badge (date not specified) and served in the following campaigns: Northern Solomon Islands; East Indies; Central Pacific; New Guinea; Southern Philippines; Luzon; Eastern Mandates; China; and Bismarck Archipelago, receiving the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with 10 Bronze Stars. The 370th was also recognized with the Distinguished Unit Badge.

On 20 May 1945, he arrived back in the U.S. and was discharged with the rank of T/Sgt at Fort Sam Houston, Texas on 2 July 1945.

On an unknown date, Earle enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was discharged at Headquarters Eighth Naval District, New Orleans, Louisiana with the rank of Aviation Electronics Technician First Class on 2 May 1949.

On 11 June 1949, He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and was discharged on 10 June, 1953.
