Stories

Del Rodney was my stepfather. He grew up in Metaline Falls, Washington and was raised in a foster home because his mother couldn't afford to keep him. He was worked hard on a farm and has worked hard all of his life. He married my widowed mother Margaret in 1954. Del had never been married and when he married Mom there were 4 children in the family. BRAVE man! Del fathered a boy who died at birth and a daughter (Joyce Anita Rodney) in 1956. They started out in Spokane, WA; moved to Twin Lakes, ID; then Grants Pass, OR; Kennewick, WA and finally Deer Park, WA. Del (Dad) was a quiet, honest, solid man. We all loved him.
