… The Hub Garage contributed a float representing Peace. The Goddess of Peace was impersonated by Miss Ada Sheak, who was guarded by Leo Milroy, Alexander Milroy and Fread Coalin, sailors, and Claude Ritton, a soldier, representing the Navy and Army of the United States. Hovering over the front of the beautifully decorated car was a dove of peace and the float bore the motto "Universal Peace" on a banner. The car was driven by John Donaldson, a returned soldier. All the men on the float had seen active service. …
