Obit: Lee Roy Goodwin, a youth of 23 yrs., who made the supreme sacrifice on the battle fields of Belgium came home today.

Church bells tolled, flags were at hafe mast, and the honor guard with the colors of the Vets. of Foureign Wars and American Legion stood firm at attention as the casketed remains of Harrisburg's first war dead was removed from the N.Y. Cen. passenger train.

The bells began their tolling at 8:40 a.m., and Harrisburg Business halted. A crowd assembled at the station. At exactly 9 a.m., the train that took him to training camp, to Europe and back home again, slowed into the station.

The flag-draped casket was removed from the train to a spot near a National Guard truck, and the speaker's platform. There were tears in the crowd. There were tears from people who did not know the boy. But the boy was symbolic of all the boy's who will be returned, and Harrisburg was honoring all boys upon the arrival of the first to reach his final destination.

The Harrisburg Township High School band played the National Anthem and war vet., Rev.Stewart W. Radford, Presbyterian pastor in the uniform of a Marine Corps chaplain gave the invocation.

Rev. N.C. Henderson, Meth., minister, pronounced benediction.Taps played in harmony by three high school band trumpeters, accompanied by the roll of drums, ended the Memorial Service. to all the boys who will be returned.
