That the records of this office show that Cornelius North late a Sargeant in company F of the 2nd Wisconsin Infantry Volunteers, was enrolled at Racine, Wisconsin, on the 23rd day of April 1861, was mustered into the Military Service of the United States at Madison, Wisconsin, on the 11th day of June, 1861, for the term of 3 years, and Discharged--expiration term of service at Madison, Wisconsin, on the 27th day of April, 1864.

Wounded in the head at Gainsville Aug 28, 1862. Absent in hospital. Corporal Nov 1, 1862. Sargeant July 1, 1863. Wounded in both arms at Gettysburg July 1, 1863. Absent wounded from July 1863 to June 1864. Under treatment in surgery U.S.A. Hosp. Germantown, Pa. Mar 31, 1864.

In battles of 1st Bull Run on the Rappahawock Aug 1862. Gainsville, South Mountain, Antietam, Fredricksburg, Fitzhugh's Crossing, Chancellorsville, and Gettysburg where severly wounded.

The records further show that said soldier when enlisted was 21 years of age, single, had Gray eyes, Light hair, Light complexion, was 5 feet 6 inches in height, and by occupation a Slater.
