Source- D. Berg (Neice) Darwin L. was married to Martha L. Mc Queen. and had a son James and also daughters.Bernice (Aspen, Co) and Ida Brainerd (Keller) of Mason ,Iowa After Civil War -The Darwin family lived outside Ashland, Wi and subsequently moved to Oregon. According to some records Darwin was born in Rosedale, Wi 1843

His brother Francis E.also served in Civil War and died in Wisconsin right after the Civil War from the TB contracted in the Andersonville , Ga prison.He Had a daughter Bertha - who settled in Oregon

The brothers had a younger sister Harriette, who married Allen Rufus Bruce and had 8 children .She taught school in Ripon, Wi and was a devoted equestrian. - Subsequent to a divorce - she owned a farm in Rock Creek, Mn - next to the St. Croix River & ulotimately died at her daughter Florence Robertson's home in St. Paul Mn.
