Andrew Blackburn,

Late a Private in Company G of the 33rd. Regiment of Wisconsin Infantry Volunteers was enlisted into military service on the 18th. day of August 1861, by F.B. Burdick at Lancaster, Wisconsin, for the term of three years, and was mustered into the military service of the United States on the 18th. day of October 1861, at Racine, Wisconsin.

Private Blackburn was born in England and resided in Beetown, Grant County.

He was detailed to work on a block house near Moscow, Tennessee on January 31, 1863 and returned to his company on February 13, 1863. He was mustered out of the service on the 9th. day of August, 1865.

The records further show thatsaid soldier when enlisted was 27 years of age, married, had hazel eyes, black hair, dark complexion, was 5 feet 9 inches in height, and by occupation a farmer.
