OBITUARY - Edward Walton

Edward Walton, a veteran of the Civil War, .and a life-long resident of this city, died yesterday morning about seven o'clock at theo home of his nephew, Arthur W. Hill, at 378 South Union street.

Mr. Walton was born in Burlington, November 20, 1830, being the son of Joseph H. Walton and Ann Llllle Walton. He enlisted at Burlington on August 23, 1862, In Company C. 12th regiment. Vermont Volunteers, and was mustered out July 14, 1863.

He Is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Abram Platt of New York, Mrs. William Brlnsmald of Freeport, III., Mrs. C. H. Cutting of Allentown, Pa., and Mrs. Ellen W. Hill of Burlington. His brother, William, died a few years ago In California. Mr. Walton never married.
